Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts program runs for approximately 22 weeks, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Classes start in January and July of each year. Applicants seeking funding or early enrollment discounts are encouraged to register for school at least 3 months prior to their desired start date.

Students receive an in-depth training in the following fundamentals of the Culinary Arts:

  • Knife skills
  • Stocks, soup and sauces
  • Meat, poultry and fish fabrication and production
  • Vegan and vegetarian foods
  • Fruit, vegetable and starch preparation
  • Basic baking
  • Catering and mass production
  • Event and menu planning
  • Food safety and ServSafe training

Graduates receive:

  • Certificate in Culinary Arts
  • ServSafe Managers Certification
  • A Life Skills Training Certificate
  • Life-time job assistance from Promise Culinary School

The cost of the program is $4,815.00

Tuition includes:

  • Full Chef’s uniform
  • Professional knife kit
  • Text book
  • Equipment, apron and side-towel rental
  • All food used in daily production
  • Daily lunch

Funding is available through the following agencies:

  • Workforce Development – WIOA
  • Workfirst NJ
  • Division of Vocational Rehabilitation – DVR
  • Department of Youth Services
  • Department of Military and Veterans Affairs

We offer early enrollment discounts and no-interest payment plans.
